What is the ideal age for a child’s first farm stay?
There is something about Kinnikinnick Farm that is magical for children aged four to ten. That is not to say that a toddler won’t love gathering eggs or playing on the giant sandpile or picking up apples to feed to the pigs, but the self-reliance, freedom and real responsibility enjoyed by farm kids is especially relished by our young guests between the ages of four and ten.
Can I bring my dog?
We have two farm dogs who think they own us, the farm, and our guests. Please make arrangements to leave your dogs at home.
What if it rains?
Spring showers and summer thunderstorms are part of life at Kinnikinnick Farm. So pack rain gear even if rain is not in the forecast. You can always leave it in your car if not needed. The tents are quite dry and snug during rainstorms. You will be well sheltered and comfortable. Some of our fondest pizza evenings have been when we have gathered safe and dry under the canopy around the pizza oven during an evening shower. If it does rain during your stay, Farmer David we will do his best to set off for farm shores during breaks in the weather.
Is there electricity?
There are plenty of outlets in the farm shop and in the bath house. But there is no electricity in the tents.
Can I have visitors?
A limited number of day visitors are welcome if you make arrangements with us in advance. We must have the names of your visitors and the ages of any children.
What is your cancellation policy?
Guests with confirmed reservations will receive a full refund of their deposits if they cancel at any time up to 30 days before scheduled arrival. If a reservation is cancelled within 30 days of scheduled arrival, all payments are forfeited, unless we are able to re-book the tent. Please note: we maintain a sizeable waiting list and have usually been able to rebook tents when cancellations occurs at least a week ahead of the scheduled date of arrival.
Can you accommodate food allergies and dietary preferences?
Yes
